Food Statistics
The following lists are partial summaries of my nutrition during stays in Göteborg and Princeton and show that food was not exactly given the highest priority...
Göteborg
- 100.5 l Orange Juice
- 59 l Apple Juice
- 24 l Milk
- 9 l other Juices
- 27 kg Pasta
- 19.2 kg Grated Cheese
- 8 kg Rice (for rice pudding)
- 6 kg Bread
- 5.8 kg Beans
- 5.5 kg Muesli
- 5.9 kg Onions
- 4.7 kg Bananas
- 4.5 kg Tomato Purée
- 4.3 kg Pears

- 2 kg Sugar (again, for the pudding ☺)
- 22 Tomatoes
- 11 glasses of Olives
- 17 tins of Thuna
- 7 bottles of Ketchup
- 6 glasses of Chocolate Spread
This list covers 21 weeks, but lacks everything consumed out of home, as well as tea.
Princeton
- 54 l Milk
- 52 l Apple Juice
- 18 l Grape Juice
- 16 l other Juices
- 47 packets of Cereal
- 48 instant noodle dishes
- 37 microwaveable meals
- 31 tins of Vegetables
- 21 Pizzas
- 19 packets of Cheese Macaroni
- 18 Burritos
- 16 tins of Beans or Chili con Carne
- 13 packets of Bread
- 9 bottles of Pasta Sauce
- 9 tins of Fruit
- 9 tins of Corn
- 7 kg Pasta
- 7 kg Nuts
- 7 tins of Tuna
- 6 Cucumbers
- 5 large packets of Cheese Sticks
- 4 glasses of Peanut Butter
Obviously, the imprecise receipts made it difficult to give definite amounts in some cases. Also, a lot is still missing for the six-month stay: there should be carrots, rice, ketchup, soup, cheese, olives, marshmallows etc., not to forget restaurant food as well as lots of hot chocolate and other drinks at Siemens.
